This page explains what Elaka collects when you join our waitlist, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep this to the minimum we need.
When you join the waitlist we collect your email address, and your phone number if you choose to add one. We also record basic technical information that comes with any web request, such as your IP address and browser type, which we use to prevent abuse of the form.
We use your email and phone number to let you know when Elaka opens, to share news about our launch, and to run and administer our giveaway. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it except with the trusted service providers that help us run the waitlist and send these messages.
You can unsubscribe from our messages at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us at the address below. You can also ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information.
We keep your details until you unsubscribe, or for up to 24 months, whichever comes first.*

* The exceptions: records we are legally required to keep, such as billing and tax records, are kept for around 7 years as the law requires. If you ask us to delete your information, we honour that request for everything we are not legally required to retain.
